Every once in a while we see homes that are so unusual and unique we have to share. Well thats the case today.. These next few homes are so unusual, some more then others I have to share.. Some are actually very stunning and in my opinion perfect examples of how versatile the design style modern contemporary can really be and how diverse and far reaching this style actually has become..

Black Pyramid House was designed by Suppose Design Office,  located in Saijo, Japan, inspired by the earliest house in Japanese architecture called pit dwelling or “tateana jukyo”. The site which was formerly an open field was excavated and the house was sunk a meter into the ground. The soil from excavations was used to create a protective barrier around the perimeter of the site, and acted as the organic base of the house.via

The Modern Unique House was design by Antonino Cardillo that located at near Barcelona, Spain. The unique shape from the landscape it’s suitable for you have a different lifestyle, Look at the interior pictures, full of curves, each of his structures that I’ve seen have these swooping, gentle curves, and it’s so soothing. Nautilus House is Fun 

and Unique

Nautilus House is Fun and Unique, A build like a snail shell at Mexico City, Nautilus House so beautiful and fun. Its suitable for family house with small children or the couple who like a something unique. This house inspiring of imagination and story tell with technique involving a frame of steel-reinforced chicken wire with a special two-inch-thick composite of concrete spread over it, resulting in a structure that’s earthquake-proof and maintenance-free. The roof concept of spiral stairs and inside the house there is planting that makes you the inhabitants and feeling a snail. So fun and amazing.

Japanese Shell 

House

 

Japanese Shell House was design by Japanese architecture firm Artechnic, is simply breathtaking. You will find the Shell House located deep in the woods of Karuizawa, Japan, where its double-elliptical, shell-like shapes blend with its magnificent surroundings.

The Shell House is made of reinforced concrete and wood, offering vast wooden decks and floor to ceiling windows. I simply love how its large, spacious living areas easily flow with its unique, circular architecture design.

My favorite 

House of All:

This next home is my favorite house of all time. I like it better then anything I have posted on here up to now and if I had a choice my house would look exactly like this one.. Its a perfect blend of bright, comfortable, natural surroundings, with modern contemporary style, design, and very modern furniture... I absolutely love it and I want all of you to appreciate it as well.. 

Set high in the Sierra Madre mountain range, the Torres House seeks to establish an intimate contact with the natural environment in which it is located. Discreetly open towards the street, the house is accessed by crossing over a fountain from which a huge oak tree emerges, impressive both for its size and its beauty. Once on the porch, a grand mural-like door -constructed of marble, wood and steel- welcomes the visitor. Inside, the entry hall merges into an area of contrasting materials consisting of Santo Tomas marble and volcanic stone walls. From this area there is a visual continuity with the rest of the house and with the garden that was left in its natural state as a small oak forest. In the living room, conceived almost as a glass box, one can experience the view to the Sierra Madre peaks in the distance and the garden near by. Owing to its location within the mountain, where winters can get really cold, there is a fireplace for the family to gather around in the evenings. From the dining room and the media room, one can access the roof terrace and enjoy the splendid views of the Sierra Madre as well as of the city of Monterrey. Here the musical background of the sounds of nature is in sharp contrast to the roar of the city below.

For example anytime a PRODUCT COMES OUT AND YOU SEE IT show up on the design interiors of famous hotels like the Delano, Ritz, Lowes, then you know it will be big.


These places have made and broken designers for being good and getting in the door and of course for being bad and not making it which sends their careers spiring down. These guys present the new standard in the modern contemporary design world and Miami is full of these types of places. Take the Icon on Brickell, the W on Miami Beach, the renovated Eden Roc Hotel, Fountain Bleu Hilton, all of which switched from more traditional designs of the past and revamped themselves into a more current modern contemporary feel. These places from the outside look just as beautiful as they did back in the 60';s but on the inside they are a new modern world of modern kitchens, bathrooms, furniture pieces, accent pieces, bedding, living rooms, unlike anything we had back then. They are all now minimalist designs where less seems to be better and hardwood floors and modern area rugs have taken the place of old grand marble floors, where old grand banister staircases have been replaced by new glass and steel minimal and very clean cut modern wonders.

The Performing arts center downtown Miami, The performing arts center on Miami Beach, all have been completely redone by famous architects like IM Pei in the modern, contemporary world, all with their own unique feel and appearance all with a very Miami attitude and feel about them unifying this city under the modern contemporary umbrella. Then there is the American Airlines Arena which closes the deal with its angles and curves that seem to end and go no where.. A building way ahead of its time and one that is very impressive..

Avant Garde Home Furnishings Growth and Future path....

It seems not so long ago the concept of Avant-Garde was in its infancy, we had no website to speak of and we simply had Ebay listings and a pro store on Amazon. Within a month our so called Avant-Garde Ebay store was selling so many items that we felyt we were getting ripped off in fees that we paid ebay for basically doing nothing. They are outrageous. They control everything. What you can sell, what you can say, and how you can grow. They are in my opinion one of the worse companies in terms of control. Its like they are Big Brother in George Orvile's famous novel that had a totalitarian US government in the far off future. 

We decided to go on our own and break free of ebay and create our own website called Avant Garde Home Furnishings.com, Everything for your mnodern & contemporary home.. Fast forward a few months of tweas, changes, graphic designs by Edward Saunders, our creative partner, the addition of several key people to help out and now finally the renting of our very own offices and possibly show room space and you get the more mature, more established Avant-Garde we have today. Today's Avant Garde is listed in search results, google products search, has anylytics accoun ts, branded logos, business cards. hours of operation, and is listed in Bing Local, Yahoo, Yellow Pages, Yelp Listing, US Directory listing, Manta, Biznik, Linkedin, has a dedicate Facebook page with over 400 followers, Twitter page with over 1,500 followers, You Tube Page, My Space Page, and 4 active blogs that are published every day. We now have 6 employees, health care, and office space and it seems unreal that something that started off as a simply idea has grown so much and has done so much in really less then a year. Our company credit is excellent, we owe very little and make a good amount on sales and one thing is for sure I can only see us moving forward and getting better at providing excellent customer servic to all our customers, excellent product selection, and of course a friendly staff ready to assist in any way possible. 

We are the new kids on the block,. We are energetic, full of ideas, and ready for the challanges that await us in this tough market. But one thing is for sure, we have a lot of energy a friendship between the poepl who work here that goes beyond business and simply trust but is closer to family then collegues. Simply put we will ne there for each other through tough times to make sure we make it to the good times. We hang out not simply to work but to enjoy each other companies and come up with new ideas on how to grow and make things better. So far its worked like a charm and I know deep down we will be the next big item in the world of Modern, XContemporary Home Furniture and decor. We will strive to be the best and lowest price for quality items that people actually want in their homes. We willl not list cheap goods that simply do not meet the cut but instead will always be on the lookout for the next unique product that sticks out from the rest. If any of you know me and my past and work ethic at Costa Farms where I took an orchid department dead last in teh United States and turned it around and made it number one in a year, you know that my determination to make this company great is not only there but will become a reality.
