Two Very modern homes..

Two Modern Homes:

The following homes definitely stick out to me in the endless homes I see everyday and tal about. Notice the high use of glass in the first one and how bright it makes everything look. I think the lighter earth tone color bamboo flooring is finally coming into its own, and I feel that is the next trend with regards to flooring.. Lighter more earth tone friendly colors and I think we will begin to see less of the dark woods and chocolate colored floors with light earth tone rugs and more of the light bamboo with impact color rugs and shags...

Absolutely great design throughout and the brightness is key to using the lighter colors.. They do not look or feel good when used in darker homes and as you can see the lighter theme prevails throughout the home inclusing the kitchen cabinets and furniture.. There is very little black or darks of any color and the light earth tone colors are prevalent throughout this entire house...

This is a contemporary house design by Pb Elemental Architecture in Seattle, The Capitol Residence includes 1688 sft of living space, one car garage, driveway, and green space on a small lot centered in Seattle’s Capitol Hill urban community. The house is clad in aluminum paneling, white and black, with Cedar accents. Extensive store-front windows facing the street add a voyeuristic element to the home, giving away intimate views of the master suite and living room floors. Exposed cedar beams on the ceiling and steel-supported stair treads can be seen as well. The stairwell is made of 6” thick Tiger Wood treads. Clerestory windows located near the ceiling line allow light to continuously move through the home.”

Absolutely brilliant outside design and very revolutionary using concrete wood, and what appears to be a black metalic material on the other.. One with huge open room seeing windows that expose the entire room and staircase and the other tat has more private rooms such as the bathroom with high up smaller windows.. Great design, concept and implementation of what I think is a great plan...
